Adrian Palmer
Founder · Managing Member · Chief Network Engineer

Adrian brings 20+ years of network and firmware engineering across Tier 1 ISPs, enterprise hardware manufacturing, and healthcare infrastructure.
At Lumen Technologies, he operated at CCNP level supporting WANs for multinational corporations — configuring BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, and OSPF across Cisco, Alcatel, and Juniper platforms, while leading automation projects that significantly reduced per-ticket FTE requirements.

At Seagate Technologies, he served as Technical Lead on the SMRFFS project — developing an SMR-Friendly FileSystem from the Linux Kernel EXT4 codebase, earning the Seagate Way Award and worldwide *NIX conference recognition.

He has rebuilt complete IT infrastructure for a major orthopedic practice and delivered network consulting to multiple local churches and nonprofits. His distinct advantage: protocol-layer engineering depth combined with the ability to translate architecture decisions into plain business outcomes.

Operating Model

Always On.
From Anywhere.

Network engineers were the original remote workers — not as a pandemic-era adjustment, but as operational reality. The console cable is TCP/IP. The data center is wherever the iPad has signal. Your SLA is enforced from an SSH session, not from a chair in your office.

"The server room is an SSH session. When your firewall trips an alert at 2 AM, the response doesn't wait for a truck — I fix it in bed. On the ipad with an SSH login over LTE I fix the problem before it becomes your problem."
Adrian Palmer — Founder, NetworkNavigators
Access
SSH over LTE / 5G
Jump-host architecture means every device on your network — firewall, switches, access points — is reachable from anywhere with a cell signal. No VPN client on your end. No "we need to be on-site."
ssh -J jump.nn.net fw-corp-dallas-01
Connected: FortiGate 60F  |  uptime 99.97%
Config
NETCONF / RESTCONF API
Full firewall configuration, policy changes, VLAN additions, and security rule updates pushed via structured API over SSH. The same management interfaces Tier 1 ISPs use to operate thousands of devices simultaneously.
NETCONF over SSH → port 830
RESTCONF over HTTPS → full Yang model
Monitoring
SNMP → Mobile Alerts in 90 Seconds
Custom monitoring stack watches interface utilization, BGP session state, CPU, memory, and device reachability. Threshold breaches fire push notifications to mobile before you notice anything is wrong — median detection to alert: 90 seconds.
SNMP trap → monitoring stack
→ mobile push <90s from threshold
Economics
Low Overhead by Design
Remote-native operations mean fewer truck rolls, no office overhead baked into your retainer, and pricing competitive with firms that charge for facilities they don't need. The SLA is enforced by the engineer, not by geography.
Critical: 30-min SLA  |  Standard: 2-hr
Routine: next-business-day  |  Contractual

Christian Values at the Core

NetworkNavigators is founded on Christian values — integrity, stewardship, and service. Every pricing decision, every client conversation, and every technical recommendation is filtered through the same question: is this the right thing to do? Church partnerships aren't a marketing strategy. They're a natural extension of two decades of community involvement. The business exists to serve — businesses, families, and congregations — and to do it honestly.

How We Operate

The principles
behind the service.

✝️
Faith-Based Foundation
Christian values guide every business decision. Honest assessment, transparent pricing, and genuine service — not because it's good marketing, but because it's right.
⚖️
Integrity First
We tell clients what they need — not what maximizes the invoice. The first referral is worth more than any upsell. Transparent pricing, no hidden fees, no vendor kickbacks on recommendations.
🔭
Design for the Future
Networks designed for 5-year scalability, not just today's headcount. The expensive retrofit at 40 employees is a failure of the original design. We prevent it.
🤝
Partnership Model
Symbiotic with cable contractors, IT managers, and MSPs. We fill the gap between physical installation and application management. We don't compete — we complement.
📡
Remote-Native Operations
Network engineers define remote work. We use the same tools we sell clients — SSH, NETCONF, SNMP monitoring — not theoretically, but operationally, every day. Low overhead means competitive pricing.
📚
Educate Clients
Clients who understand their network make better decisions and stay longer. Monthly reports aren't compliance — they're how we teach clients to value what they have.
